The industrial hall, complete with paint wholesale and warehouse as well as office rooms of the company Hawo-Winkler, was built within the shortest construction time in 1990. The building's 4,000 square metres are completely heated using MULTIBETON underfloor heating.
Special solutions for the floor construction were jointly determined with the architect Reidel from Hemsbach and the MB partner Herbert from Einhausen. In the area of the hall, the heating pipes were installed in the lower third of the concrete ceiling that withstand loads of up to 20 kN/m². A wire basket construction in connection with the MB steel clip rail was used to install the pipes in the offices, with the same thickness of the ceiling, into the upper third of the concrete slab.
Very high technical requirements were set for the heating of the approximately 10 m high hall in that optimal heating with equal room temperature and low as possible convection at favourable investment costs and low operating costs was demanded. Using MULTIBETON underfloor heating, these goals are achieved. The sensitive paint, wall papers and carpets are kept in always consisting heat, with dispersing of dust being avoided due to the low convection.
