Bison Beams has implemented a heating system with an unusual objective in its new factory premises in the UK: a hall for the quick hardening of factory produced pre-fabricated concrete elements. The project was implemented by MULTIBETON Ltd., the general licensee for the United Kingdom.

Concrete flooring and roofing element slabs that are at first still cold and wet are stored for drying on six so-called beds, each of which is 160 m long. The MULTIBETON heating of these beds significantly accelerates this process.

MULTIBETON Euro system pipe 20 is used to combine low-pressure drop with diffusion density and increased pressure resistance. Some 12,000 metres of this relatively new pipe type have been installed under the hall floor and ensure a rapid heating in a maximum of 6 hours to a surface temperature of 50°C. The MULTIBETON Euro system pipe 20 is set in concrete over which an upper floor of 10 mm steel is placed to ensure an even faster heat distribution.

The hall is simultaneously heated from 10°C to about 20°C, which also promotes the drying process from above as well as making the working climate more pleasant.

Just as the German ICE, the French high-speed train TGV of the S.N.C.F. (French National Railway Company) was provided with own railway lines and stations. In July 2000, the railway station in Valence (Drôme) was equipped with 2,300 m² of MB screed system by the company Cofathec.

The system is equipped with a bivalent heat pump, providing the system with heat in winter and cooling in summer. All manifolds were put in the floor.

The "Brasserie" Restaurant was opened in the year 2000. It is situated in the former horse-drawn street car depot of Holy Wawrzyniec out of the 19th century, right in the middle of Kazimierz, the former Jewish Quarter. MB-Partner BAJ installed 200 m² of MB screed system. The final floor covering consisted of various tiles.

At the beginning of 1997, MB partner Wiederer from St. Marien installed 800 m² of MB screed system in Knoll Auto Sales, regional branch dealer for  Seat, Mitsubishi and Suzuki automobiles. The building is heated with gas and the distributors were installed in the floor. Tiles were used as surface flooring.

In 1999, the Stocker Electric Company chose a  MULTIBETON floor heating system for its new building. Installation specialist Wiederer laid 150 m² of MB-Screed System; gas was chosen for heating. The screed flooring was finished with tiles.

In the concrete plant in Colomiers that was built in 1986, an 80 mm thick MB Screed System was installed on an area of 1,500 square metres. Due to the elongation strength, the factory was provided with floor covering made of grease-coated steel slabs. This structure is designed for a maximum load of approx. 2 kN/m².

MULTIBETON guarantees here a surface temperature of 60° C for the concrete hardening process. For this, a gas heating delivers about 440 W/m² at a supply temperature of 65° C.

With its three buildings in Berlin's Hansa Straße, Möbus Automobile Sales ranks among the largest of its kind in the region. VW-Audi, Hyundai and Peugeot are available here. But even these three buildings were soon inadequate, making it necessary to expand existing structures. A topping-out ceremony was subsequently held in April 1997 for the new Linden-Center addition in which VW and Audi were to be offered on two storeys. And appropriately enough, a VW Beetle decorated the roof instead of the traditional crown.

The decision for a floor heating system was made at the last moment. MULTIBETON and the contracting MULTIBETON partner, Bakendorf GmbH from Berlin, reacted quickly: Both planning and supplies were completed within one week. Due to the short-term completion, an additional installation device was also available.

Bakendorf GmbH installed  5500 running meters of MB euro pipe in 58 heating circuits. The special final floor covering created a super effect on 963 m² of heated surface: gravel sealed in artificial resin.

Our Italian partner, the company Termoidraulica Stocco Fabrizio, provided a MULTIBETON scredd system for the restaurant Azienda Agrituristica “Al Borgo” in Castelfranco Veneto (TV) in Italy. The MB Euro system pipe was laid on an area of 320 m² and a natural gas boiler heats the system. With its 6 m height the building provides plenty of space for hospitality and comfort.

Stocco Fabrizio is a specialist for the construction of flats and dwelling houses. MULTIBETON radiant heating systems are used ever more widely in these new homes.

Sisi has produced ladies stockings since 1925 in Valdobbiadene, Italy and since the end of the 80's has also been a member of Europe's largest stocking manufacturer, the "Golden Lady" group. In 1993, Sig. Grassi from Castiglione delle Stiviere built a new ultra-modern factory in which 300 employees currently produce 100,000 pairs of stockings a day.

MULTIBETON-Partner Baratto installed MB large surface piping 25 in 15.000 m² of the factory. The system is supplied through steam heating.

Smart Center in Treviso was built in  1997 by Sig. Carraro from Conegliano. MB-Partner Gregori Mario Idrotermosanitaria equipped the 420 m² show room with  MB screed system 17. This system, together with the heat pump being used, provides extremely economical heating.
