"Park Wodny" is a modern recreational pool complex in Tarnowskie Gory, in Silesia, that offers its guests a pool with simulated ocean waves, a sports pool, a water slide and a sauna area (among other things). A MULTIBETON floor heating system is used to heat an area in excess of 4000 m². The system was installed in 1999-2000 by MB partner BAJ Company and Multitherm Polska of Katowice. In keeping with the natural surroundings, the final flooring consisted primarily of tiles supplemented by parquet in the dry areas.

The Sport Hall in New Sydney Showgrounds was constructed in New South Wales in 1996 for the Olympic Games 2000. As the only hall on the showgrounds, "the Dome" has a climate control system which was installed by MB's partners MULTIBETON Ltd. from England and Triple 'M' Mechanical Services Ltd. from Australia. 648 of the 7200 m² floor space in the middle of the 42 meters high hall are cooled using MB surface cooling. Cooling pipes are fastened to steel reinforcements in the cement floor. Exterior areas are naturally cooled and are additionally tempered with cooled air. This also provides a continual change of air for all athletes and for up to 10,000 spectators in the hall. The cooling system is driven by a 40.8 kW aggregate.

| Sports Floors Heating in St. Marein, Austria | |
|
The MULTIBETON underfloor heating underneath sports floors guarantees an even distribution of heat over the whole area of the hall and therefore provides an even and optimum temperature level. The radiated heat immediately provides pleasant comfort. Neither convection (stirring up of dust) nor draughts are produced. MULTIBETON underfloor heating also ideally satisfies medical requirements in sports halls. The savings on energy, cleaning and renovating costs naturally play a major role. Useful energy savings are achieved by large areas, low heating temperatures, low temperature differences (heating area/room temperature) and fast temperature distribution. An extra energy saving of 6-7 % can be achieved by reducing the room temperature by 1-2 °C in comparison with radiators. There is no need for care and cleaning of radiators and panels, no painting is required and the renovating intervals are longer.
|
By the way: The MULTIBETON underfloor heating provides the architects and of course the sportsmen every freedom of design for the rooms, because it is invisible. Summary: The MULTIBETON system is not only optimally adaptable to the requirements of a building but also saves energy and thus costs for the builder. Our MB representative in St. Martin and district (Wiederer) will be glad to advise you in the planning of your individual MULTIBETON-Underfloor heating for your building project. In March 2005, the new building of the "Fitness Club Lac" was equipped with MULTIBETON underfloor Heating, MULTIBETON wall heating and MULTIBETON open space heating. With the support of MULTIBETON Germany, 3,000 running metres of MB Euro system pipe were installed on a space of almost 400 m², which will keep the building cosy and warm even in the Romanian winter.

Tiles and fitted carpets were used as final floor covering, with wall surfaces faced using granite slabs. The system is heated by means of a gas boiler.
